Sunday 25 October 2015 – Adelaide Night Market – North Terrace, City

The first Adelaide Night Market of the 2015/2016 season! From 4-8pm along the North Terrace park.  Great food, drink and atmosphere, perfect for sharing with family and friends. See here for more information.

Friday 31 October 2015 – Halloween Fork in the Port – Harts Mill, Port Adelaide

Truck or treat!  Get dressed up and come and join Adelaide’s food truck scene for the first ever Halloween Fork. From 12pm serving lunch AND dinner – bonus! Further details to come – check out here and here.

Sunday 8 November 2015 – Walk 4 Brain Cancer – Harold & Cynthia Anderson Reserve, West Beach

Sunday 14 November 2015 – Whistler Wine Down – Whistler Wines, Seppeltsfeild Road, Barossa

We have been bad, bad bloggers. Please forgive us?

We will now reward you with CONTENT OVERLOAD!

We had a great time in the Garden of Unearthly Delights over four weeks of the Adelaide Fringe – we got to share our love of Moroccan street food, meet some lovely people, feel a bit chuffed about so many nice comments and reviews & soak up the atmosphere that only the GOUD brings to Adelaide one special time a year.

Some of our very popular Meloui – home-made pastry grilled and filled with spinach, rocket & feta. Optional fillings chicken, lamp, pumpkin, eggplant, mushroom and capsicum. Now we’re hungry just writing that sentence. Excuse us while we go whip a batch up…

And then we were exhausted:

We managed to rally and:

• Served up a storm at the last (and as usual fabulous) Adelaide Night Market for the 2014/2015 season – fear not good Adelaide folk, it is back for a new season!
• Took the Mo’rockin’ van on a jaunt to the Barossa to celebrate Easter with Whistler Wines – a beautiful cellar door and people who know to put on a very good show.

• Celebrated Adelaide’s Muslim community and the amazing multicultural support of Adelaide at the first Al Salam Festival.
• Shared some tagine with a very large, well-groomed and hungry dog at the RSCPA Million Paws Walk.

• Took the van on another outing not once but twice to our other premium wine region, specifically the beautiful Lazy Ballerina at Kuitpo, for their guests to relax in what has to be one of the best gardens around with some great tunes, tucking into our #moorishbites, and sampling some great wine.

• Helped the next batch of young and eager students get acquainted with Adelaide University – we’re sure a good feed of #moorishbites helped them along!

• Two most excellent Forks on the Road – one at Harts Mill Port Adelaide & the other at Bonython Park – both had a huge turnout, which warms the heart of humble food trucks like us to see the support Adelaide has for our street food scene.  Good news too – there are many more Forks approaching!

• We celebrated Moorish Bites’ First Birthday at the Semaphore Music Festival – one year to the day since we started trading, with Semaphore being our very first event.

• The first (and hopefully one of many!) Victoria Square Art Market was held just last weekend – the turn out in support of local artists was amazing and the atmosphere made for a perfect sunny Sunday afternoon in the city.

• Plus we got to cater a bunch of private functions and share our passion for Moroccan street food in people’s homes, workplaces and schools – weddings, dinners, school fundraisers, birthday milestone celebrations and baby showers. You celebrate it, we cater it!  If you are planning an event and are looking for something a bit different and a lot tasty, don’t hesitate to email moorishbites@gmail.com to make an enquiry about what we can do for you.

We also took time to have a bit of a winter hibernation.  Chef Mo’ took the opportunity to go back to his homeland of Morocco (and get some sun!) and could not escape his love of street food (and posing with it):
